In short: RenteRoo currently uses only strictly necessary cookies — the ones required to sign you in and keep the platform secure. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the platform to function and cannot be switched off. Under UK law they do not require consent.

• Authentication cookies — set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you securely signed in as you move between pages.
• Security cookies — used to protect against cross-site request forgery and to keep your session secure.
• Beta access cookie — during the private Beta, a cookie records that you have entered the shared access code, so you are not asked for it on every page.
• Administrative access cookie — set only for authorised RenteRoo staff to reach internal administrative areas.

Analytics and advertising cookies

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. If we introduce product analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or remove cookies and tell you when one is being set.

Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them will stop you from signing in and using the platform. Guidance for common browsers is available at aboutcookies.org.
